Local Charter Cable customers may soon find that they will face a 3% increase on their monthly cable bill. This Access Fee was recently announced on the June bill to Charter Cable customers residing in the east side of town in an area commonly know as Remy’s Trailer Court. The notice was listed as "Important Information about your Cable Service. ATTENTION: Effective with this billing statement, a 3% Right of Way Access Fee now appears on the tax line of your billing statement. This fee is collected and paid to REMY’S, as a requirement of Cable TV access to their property. " This fee is above and beyond the FCC Admin Fee, Franchise Fee and the Access Fee that these customers are already currently charged for.

Many of these customers have made the switch to satellite television. With the Green Bay local channels now available, and program packages starting at just $19.99/mo. for over 60 channels, satellite TV is an affordable alternative to cable. Satellite TV features all digital on all channels and FREE BASIC INSTALLATION in up to 4 rooms. Bob Parins of New Century Service has been providing satellite service to Door and Kewaunee residents for almost 15 years, and offers both DIRECTV and Dish Network, the 2 major providers of satellite for consumers. “ We feel that by offering both providers of satellite TV, we are able to fit the customer to the right service and options for their lifestyle, not just what is available through the brand. At NCS, we Sell Solutions.” Not only did these cable customers receive a rate increase of up to 10% in the first part of the year, but now they’re getting socked with another 3%. Enough is Enough!
